In a move aimed at increasing the attractiveness and value of money of bus travel Ipswich Buses has today Monday 8 September 2008 launched its “Five” group ticket.

This ticket is aimed specifically at family groups and for just £5 a group of five including at least one adult can have unlimited travel on all Ipswich Buses services after 5pm Mondays to Fridays and all day Saturday and Sunday.

This new ticket is available on board all Ipswich Buses vehicles from the driver.

Malcolm Robson Managing Director Ipswich Buses states:
“Our Company identified that the cost of family travel by bus on our network was becoming prohibitive.  This new ticket allows families to travel at a discounted fare of £5 for up to five people, anywhere after 5pm on Mondays to Fridays and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays.

We have specifically timed this ticket to be available when we believe families wish to travel together and see this as a further move to promote value for money bus travel over use of the private motor car”
