GOOD NEWS FOR BUS PASSENGERS
Ipswich Buses is looking to slash the costs of bus travel in Ipswich by offering a new £5 Day Rover ticket and reducing the costs of its maximum fare on Ipswich Town services on Sundays between now and the end of March to just £1.
The Day Rover ticket priced at £5 is available from the bus driver and gives any passenger unlimited travel on the day of purchase on any service in the Ipswich Town network.
The new maximum adult fare of £1.00 on Ipswich Town services on Sundays is introduced as the company strives to increase the number of passengers using buses in Ipswich at a time when the costs of car parking in the town have also been significantly reduced.
Managing Director of Ipswich Buses Ltd Malcolm Robson states:
“These two fares offers are aimed at promoting sustainable travel on all our services in Ipswich.
At a time of economic recession it is important that we offer a sustainable travel mode, which is seen as good value for money by all passengers.
In addition, our company are proud to announce that we have no plans at the present time to increase any of the prices charged for any of our services in Ipswich. The last time bus fares increased in the town was October 2007. This is yet another example of our company endeavouring to keep the cost of personal travel down at a time when people are watching every penny they spend”.
