New Buses Bring New Passengers

Since the introduction of six new Scania single deck buses with a stunning new pearlesent paint scheme livery on to service 13 in Ipswich passenger loadings have seen a significant increase with loadings now over 4% higher than they were at the same time last year.

Managing Director of Ipswich Buses Malcolm Robson states:-

“This increase in passengers indicates a reaction to the high quality of the new vehicles with additional users being attracted to the service.  With no other changes to the service, this is a dramatic increase in passengers when around the rest of the country most operators have seen a reduction in the number of passengers being carried.

This level of increase justifies our significant investment in raising the quality of bus services in Ipswich and we will be monitoring the effects closely over the forthcoming months as we look forward to attracting more users to service 13”.
