Ipswich Bus Users to Have Their Say
Bus Users in Ipswich will have the chance to meet the people responsible for their local bus services.
National passenger organisation Bus Users UK will be holding one of its Bus Users Surgeries in Ipswich Town Centre, 10am-3pm, Cornhill Market Place, on board an Ipswich Buses bus on Wednesday 27 August
No appointment is necessary - just turn up, hop on and meet the people who provide your local buses. Representatives from Ipswich Buses and Suffolk County Council will be on hand to discuss queries, comments suggestions and complaints. Everyone will receive a written response to their comments, if required.
Bus Users UK Operations Officer for England Phil Tonks said:
"Our Bus Users Surgeries throughout the UK prove popular with local bus users and non-users alike. It's important that people have a voice and can meet those responsible for their local bus services. Some people aren't keen on a formal meeting, so we hope this type of event will encourage local people to drop by whilst they are out and about and have their say".
Managing Director of Ipswich Buses, Malcolm Robson said:
"We are always keen to hear the views of our users, and also people who do not use buses. This is an ideal way for people to let us know how we can improve our services and get more people using our services at a time of increasing travel costs and traffic congestion".
