DISRUPTION TO BUS SERVICES
Due to sewer works in Ipswich Town centre at the junction of Upper Brook Street/Dogs Head Street and Tacket Street, bus services will be disrupted for a minimum of four weeks.
Starting on Sunday 11 May 2008 these works will close the junction at the above location, meaning that the vast majority of bus services which serve Ipswich Town centre will see a diversion from their normal route.
Ipswich Buses town services from south and west Ipswich towards Tower Ramparts Bus Station will run via Civic Drive and Crown Street.
Outbound services 1, 2, 3 and 6 will operate from Pals via the Old Cattle Market Bus Station and Star Lane to Grimwade Street.
Managing Director of Ipswich Buses Malcolm Robson states:
“These road works will cause severe disruption to our services. The best advice to our customers making return journeys from Ipswich Town centre is to board our buses at Tower Ramparts Bus Station during the period of the road works”
