NO INCREASE TO BUS FARES
Posted at: 2011-01-06 18:00:00

After being inundated by public requests for information about how much fares would be increasing with the VAT increase on Tuesday 4 January 2011 Ipswich Buses have confirmed that bus fares are not affected by the recent VAT increase and that fares will be staying at their present levels for the foreseeable future.

Managing Director of Ipswich Buses Malcolm Robson states:

“Our bus fares in Ipswich have not increased for a number of years and at the present time we have no intention of doing so.  The costs of motoring with the recent increase in fuel prices continue to increase and make bus travel a more cost effective sustainable option for many users.

Our range of pre paid discounted tickets offer bus users the chance to cut their travel costs down to around £10 per week.  Full details of all our fares offers can be found on our Fares page>>

Our Company realise that as everyone watches every penny they spend, an increase in prices at the present may have an adverse effect on our customer base at a time when we are looking to increase the number of people using buses in Ipswich.”
