IPSWICH BUSES INTRODUCES CHEAPER BUS FARES

The distance bus users can travel from Ipswich Town Centre for just £1 has been increased by Ipswich Buses in an attempt to generate new additional short trip passengers in and around the central area of Ipswich.

The £1 fare on most routes in Ipswich now takes you further away from the town centre.  For example on services 1, 3 and 6 the £1 fare has been extended from the Duke Street roundabout at Bishops Hill to the Myrtle Street roundabout and the £1 fare on service 15 is extended to Uncle Tom’s Cabin.

Managing Director of Ipswich Buses Ltd Malcolm Robson states:

“This is an attempt by our company to offer even better value for money short bus trips to and from Ipswich Town Centre by extending the distance customers can travel for just £1.

At a time when everyone is watching what they spend, we are aiming to make bus travel even better value for money for a number of bus users who travel in the area just outside the Ipswich Town Centre”.
