CHANGES TO BUS SERVICES TO RAVENSWOOD

Ipswich Buses are introducing timetable changes on their services 1 and 3 which operate from Ipswich Railway Station via Central Ipswich to Ravenswood, Ransomes and Sainsburys at Warren Heath.

A new fifteen minute timetable will come into effect on 1st June 2009.

Included in the new timetable is also a slight route change with buses on services 1 and 3 now only calling into Holbrook Road on journeys into Ipswich Town centre.

Managing Director of Ipswich Buses Ltd Malcolm Robson states:

“These changes are aimed at ensuring that we continue to operate an attractive high frequency bus service from Ravenswood into central Ipswich, continuing to provide a quality alternative to the private car.

Since the commencement of bus services from Ravenswood we have seen a steady increase in the number of bus passengers on this service.  However unfortunately due to the drop off in residential development, our company has had to scale back its operation in the area during the economic downturn”.
