Our Routes Grows Trees
Ipswich Buses have today launched its campaign to reduce the negative impact of the pollution its services create in and around Ipswich Town centre by agreeing to plant a tree for every 28 day pass which the Company sells during July, August and September.
Managing Director of Ipswich Buses Malcolm Robson states:
“This scheme is a wonderful way for users of our services and our Company to reduce our carbon footprint by ensuring that for every 28 day pass we sell during the three months of the scheme, from July to September, we will, in partnership with Ipswich Borough Council, be planting a tree in the Ipswich area.
I am hopeful that through this scheme some people who presently do not use buses will see the environmental benefits from reduced car use, and also from increasing the positive elements of the natural environment in Ipswich to buy one of our 28 day which gives unlimited travel on any of our services”.
28 day passes are available from Ipswich Buses priced £45. Applications can be made to the Enquiry Office Tower Ramparts Bus Station or here>> |
