Bus Timetable Changes From Sunday 4th October 2020
With day to day life slowly starting to return to normal we are continuing to see a small increase in passenger numbers on our town services in Ipswich and therefore from Sunday 4th October 20200 we will be increasing the frequency’s on services 4,8,9 & 10 as well as making some changes to service 3 as we continue to try and return the service levels to the pre COVID levels on our network.
A summary of the timetable changes are below:
Service 3 Ipswich Central – University of Suffolk – Nacton Road – John Lewis
Following the permanent withdrawal of services 60 & 60A by another operator evening journeys will be renumbered 3E and will operate along Nacton Road as normal until Landseer Road then will continue along Landseer Road, Holbrook Road where the bus will turnaround before returning back to Ipswich Central via Landseer Road and Nacton Road as shown in the map below.
There will also be a new early morning journey on service 3E departing Holbrook Road at 06:05 which will operate via Landseer Road, Nacton Road, Tower Ramparts and terminate at Ipswich Railway Station at 06:25.

John Lewis will be continued to be served by service 2 in the evenings.
Service 4 Ipswich Central – Felixstowe Road – Broke Hall – Bixley
Extra buses will be added back to service 4 with buses operating upto every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime. There will be no changes to the route. From Sunday 4th October 2020 Ipswich Buses will also operate the Sunday & Bank Holiday service on behalf of Ipswich Borough Council.

Service 8 Ipswich Central – Bramford Road – Whitehouse – ASDA & Anglia Retail Park
Extra buses will be added back to service 8 with buses operating upto every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime. There will be no changes to the route.

Services 9 & 10 Ipswich Central – Norwich Road – Whitton – Castle Hill
Extra buses will be added back to services 9 & 10 with buses operating upto every 10 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime. There will be no changes to the route.
